Primary School no 33 in Sosnowiec
Primary
School no 33 – located in the suburbs of Sosnowiec, quite far from the
city centre. There are 145 students and 25 teachers. Various facilities
can be found at our school such as: a library, a common room, a gym and
a computer room. Our
school was founded in 1900 and is connected with miners' environment.
We cooperate with Senior Club called "The Roots" and there is a very
active group of Scouts in the school. Most children in our school are
involved in extra activities such as: sport, dancing club, foreign
language classes, drama classes, play and games classes. Yearly our school participates in different kinds of projects and programmes.
Sosnowiec
is situated in the south of Poland – in the Silesian Voivodeship.
Sosnowiec was granted city rights in 1902. The most important monuments
and historical places in Sosnowiec: Sielecki Castle, Oskar Schoen’s
Palace, Ernest Schoen’s Palace, Dietel’s Palace, Mieroszewscy Palace,
The Zagłębie Theatre, Railway Station, Neo – Romanesque Cathedral and
The Triangle of The Three Emperors.
Nowadays Sosnowiec is an important industrial, cultural and an academic centre both in our region and in Poland.
